We are pleased to present compelling documentaries and curriculum units. During the coming months we will feature selected program segments from two documentaries focusing on visual arts and architecture: Manet:The Man Who Invented Modern Art, about Édouard Manet the renowned 19th century French artist, and Baroque!
From St Peter’s to St Paul’s, highlighting the works of artists and architects of the English Baroque period. Our lineup also includes a special lesson about dance entitled The Innovators – American Modern Dance Pioneers.
Monthly Programs
Ovation airs monthly arts-related programs commercial free, for viewing, recording and/or streaming. Teachers can find the program titles, dates, and times on the Arts Ed Toolkit main page.
Featured Partner
Ovation is proud to continue an educational partnership with the J. Paul Getty Museum. The J. Paul Getty Museum provides over one hundred standards-based lessons to K-12 teachers for use in the classroom. Teachers can discover free lessons and images, ranging from the world of ancient Greece and Rome to contemporary photographs. In addition to meeting standards in the visual arts, select lessons address history, language arts and performing arts standards. Getty lesson plans will be featured monthly.
