Ovation's New Documentary Feature, Faces of a Vanishing World, Captures Ancient Cultures on the Verge of Extinction

World Premiere of the Original Production Airs on September 27

Joey Lawrence, celebrity photographer and documentary filmmaker, faces the inevitable choice between art and commerce, as he pursues his passion to capture indigenous cultures that are being threatened by extinction in the engrossing documentary feature, Faces of a Vanishing World.  Ovation, the only multi-platform network devoted to art and contemporary culture, will feature the world premiere of this original production on September 27, 2010 at 10:00 pm ET/PT.

Faces of a Vanishing World features Joey Lawrence, who at just 19 years of age is one of the most sought-after photographers in music and entertainment.  His images grace the many “Twilight” saga movie posters and print ads seen everywhere today, and he is the photographer of choice to such high-profile artists as the Jonas Brothers and 50 Cent.  In Faces of a Vanishing World, Lawrence leaves his fast-moving NYC-based career behind to pursue his other passion – to search out native cultures and record their ways of life before they die out entirely.  Traveling to some of the most remote locations on earth, he photographs holy men, tribal warriors, and women and children from tribes that seem untouched by time and progress, but are in fact in constant danger of disappearing forever.
