Ovation and Ovation HD Now Available on Comcast Systems in the Baltimore, Richmond and Washington, D.C. Areas

Santa Monica – July 12, 2011 - Ovation, the only television network dedicated to arts culture, today announced it has launched its network in both standard- and high-definition on Comcast systems in the Baltimore, Richmond and Washington, D.C. areas.  Xfinity Digital Preferred customers in these areas now have access to the network’s original and acquired programming, which is focused on art, culture and  creativity.  

“These metro areas are culturally rich with thriving arts scenes, and are perfect for Ovation,” said Ellen Schned, senior vice president of distribution for Ovation.  “By expanding our network to these areas, Comcast customers can enjoy inspiring programming and community partnerships that connect them with cultural institutions and arts education programs.”

This month, Xfinity Digital Preferred customers in the Baltimore, Richmond and Washington, D.C areas can enjoy the network’s July programming event:  American Revolutionaries:  THE HITMAKERS, a three-week event featuring some of pop music’s most-influential artists.  Beginning on August 5, Xfinity Digital Preferred customers can also watch the exclusive off-network premiere of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

Xfinity Digital Preferred customers in these areas can watch Ovation on channel 155 and Ovation HD on channel 946.
