Santa Monica, CA – November 2, 2016 – Ovation TV, America’s only arts network, has named Sol Doten Vice President, Content Distribution Marketing. Doten reports directly to John Malkin, Executive Vice President of Content Distribution, and is based in the company’s Santa Monica headquarters.
In his role as VP, Content Distribution Marketing, Doten will lead Ovation’s business-to-business affiliate communications efforts and distributor partnership marketing programs.
Prior to joining Ovation, Doten was VP, Communications at Fox Networks Group where he oversaw communications support for Fox Television Group, as well as Fox Sports Media Group, National Geographic Partners and Fox’s International portfolio across Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Previously, Doten was VP, Distribution Marketing for Fox Networks, working with popular pay-TV brands such as FOX Broadcasting, FOX’s Regional Sports Networks, FX, FOX Sports 1 and 2, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, Big Ten Network, FOX College Sports, and others.
Prior to Fox Networks, he was Director, Affiliate Marketing at FOX News Channel in New York; Director, Marketing, Communications, Creative Services and Promotions of FOX Sports International; and Manager of Consumer Marketing, Publicity, Creative Services, and Promotions for FOX Networks Group, Latin America.

Doten graduated from University of Arizona with a BA in Political Science. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Association of Cable Communicators, CTAM, the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications and Promax/BDA.
