Monumental Vision in Sri Lanka
In Sri Lanka, outdoor artist Andrew Rogers works across 3 sites, to create the works Pride The Lion and Ratio, the temple stairs leading to the heavens. The structure Pride the Lion represents the mythology surrounding the ancient joining of India and Sri Lanka. Ratio represents the religious temples of the area, all leading upward to the skies. As he works, Rogers is confronted by tropical storms and impaired roads, making his work a challenge in the name of art.
