(2001) Glenn Close, Harry Connick Jr. star in this TV production. Classic Rogers and Hammerstein -- SOUTH PACIFIC won ten Tonys and a Pulitzer prize. Set during World War II on a naval base in the tropics, Nellie (Close), is an inexperienced nurse from Arkansas who falls in love with an older French plantation owner.
