    Anthony Bourdain has been the face of many travel shows on the Food Network, CNN, and the Travel Channel. His bestselling book, “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly,” put him on the map as a chef, author, and travel documentarian. His honest, human interest stories came from his experience behind the scenes of the world’s top restaurants.

    He began his career in the food industry as a dishwasher, gradually working his way up through preparation, to line cook, sous chef, and chef. He was executive chef of Manhattan's Brasserie Les Halles.
