About the show

We know less about Africa’s past than any other continent's on Earth. Expert Dr. Gus Casely-Hayford explores the rich and vibrant histories of the African continent. He tells fascinating stories of their complex and sophisticated kingdoms: Asante, Zulu, Berber of Morocco, Bunyoro, and Buganda.

Despite the lack of written records, the histories of these kingdoms emerge from artifacts and oral traditions of the people.
