Oscars 2019: Academy Award Nominations Stun (Slightly)

January 22, 2019

It’s that time of year again! The Academy has released their nominations for the 91st Annual Academy Awards, which will air Feb. 24, 2019 . While “A Star is Born” was expected to sweep numerous categories, the nominations prove to be a little different. Marvel gets to say that one of their films is recognized on Hollywood’s biggest night. Meanwhile, Netflix can finally boast that they are a real contender for awards show gold.
With no announced hosts to present the show, this year’s Academy Awards will likely be the victim of the usual farce and disappointment.
