Theo Croker was raised in central Florida. At the age of eleven he heard his grandfather Doc Cheatham (a great jazz trumpeter) play. Doc died the following year, but Theo continued to listen to his music. In 2013 Croker returned to the US after seven-years in Shanghai, China, where he broadened his concept of jazz. Vicente was born in Woodstock, NY, and here embraced the rich cultural arts of this historical town by listening to local Jazz artists. After earning a business degree, Vicente moved to New York City where he soon began performing and touring with the likes of Kenny Garret, Freddie Hubbard, Roy Haynes, Stefon Harris, and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, among many others. Vicente Archer has emerged as one of today’s profound new voices on the bass.
