Ovation TV, America’s premier arts network, is pleased to announce the August 2023stunt and curated programming for its award-winning travel-entertainment digital channel, JOURNY. It’s time to enjoy the last bit of summer and travel to far away and fascinating lands. Follow real-life 21st-century adventurer Dr. Iago Cooper and Dr. Gus Casely-Hayford on their epic travels through Africa and Latin America. Learn about these countries’ ancient civilizations, mysterious tales, and beautiful landscapes throughout the month of August. The “Get Lost” stunt begins streaming on JOURNY on Tuesday, August 1.

Lost Kingdoms of Africa: We know less about Africa’s past than any other continent’s on Earth. British art historian and expert Dr. Gus Casely-Hayford explores the rich and vibrant histories of the African continent. He tells fascinating stories of their complex and sophisticated kingdoms: Asante, Zulu, Berber of Morocco, Bunyoro, and Buganda. Despite the lack of written records, the histories of these kingdoms emerge from artifacts and oral traditions of the people. Join Dr. Gus as he explores the pre-colonial history of some of Africa’s most important kingdoms.

Lost Kingdoms of Central America: From the people who met Christopher Columbus to the culture that inspired the Mayans; from the vast temple pyramids to the world’s oldest ball game, Lost Kingdoms Of Central America reveals the true character of a stunning continent through its archaeology, art, people, and landscapes.

Lost Kingdoms of South America: Archeologist Dr. Jago Cooper travels to South America in search of “its kingdoms.” He’ll journey to several countries in the continent like Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia in order to examine evidence that will shed light on their fascinating and ancient civilizations.
